I have mentioned before my love of architectural photography (and architecture in general) and have posted 12+ pages of posts related to architectural photography at last count.  I also have a special affinity for my hometown of Tucson, AZ and my Alma Mater the University of Arizona.  So a chance to combine the three is a win-win-win situation.

The U of A recently set out to expand their student recreation center by 54,000 square feet while “shepherding student resources” (building responsibly) at the same time.  The end result is an LEED certified architectural masterpiece.  Arch Daily, aka eye candy for architecture fans, has a spread on the new rec center with architectural photography by Timmerman Photography Inc. (I want his job!).

I have not had an opportunity to photography at the U of A recently, but have the new rec center on my list of places to hone my architectural photography skills.  Stay tuned for images of the expanded recreation center at the University of Arizona.
