Shutter Mike Photography

Combining travel and photography is a natural thing to do.  You can both capture the memories of your travel experiences and create great photographic art as you explore the world.  So it was only natural that Frommer’s, one of the top travel guide publishers, combined the two in their 2010 Favorite Travel Moments Photo Contest. After reviewing 4,000 entries the editors at Frommer’s narrowed it down to one first place winner and 4 runner ups.  The winning photo was this sperm whale off the coast of Dominica in the Caribbean captured by Peter Allinson.  For this prize winning image he got $4,000 and a Tamron zoom lens  See a slide show of all the winners here.
