Photo of the anchor system of a downtown Phoenix sculpture
In the Details
f/5.6 – 1/25 sec – ISO 500 – Focal Length 60 mm

Sometimes you have to think beyond eye level and really look at a subject in a new way, from a new perspective.  I have photographed the Phoenix Civic Space Park and the Her Secret is Patience sculpture by Janet Echelman many times.  Each time I have tried to find a new angel or a different way to look at it.  However, I have generally focused on the main sculpture itself.  This time I took a look at the details.  This photograph is one of the anchors that ties the steel cables that drop down from the sculpture to the ground as seen from sitting on the ground and looking up.
